Thursday, February 23rd from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  Carpenter Elementary Library

“Today’s busier, faster, supersized society is waging an undeclared war . . . on childhood. As the pace of life accelerates to hyperspeed – with too much stuff, too many choices, and too little time – children feel the pressure.” Dr. Kim Payne

We’ll talk about the positive effects of slowing down and enjoying time with your child(ren)including reduced anxiety, increased attention, and increased moments of happiness!

Hello! My name is Kellie Hill and I am the counselor at Carpenter Elementary.  I truly have the best job in the world working with the children and the amazing staff here.  I have the opportunity to visit with all students monthly in their classrooms where I provide a guidance lesson focused on a character trait and/or a social skill. I also provide individual counseling as needed and offer small group counseling as well.  I work with parents in creating plans for home when there are challenges that need to be addressed.

This year we are lucky to have Mrs. Julie Brown, LPC-Intern working under my supervision with our students.

I am here to assist the whole Carpenter family in all areas.  I am always happy to meet with parents, students, and staff members to help provide a safe and comfortable environment for our children to learn.

You can reach me by phone at (832) 668-8403 or you can email me at khill@dpisd.org.
