Who We Are
The Dabbs PTO is the parents and teachers of Dabbs Elementary School working together to enhance the educational process for all the students of the school. There is an annual membership fee of $5 for each family.
What We Do
We plan several events throughout the year to show appreciation for the teachers, students, and parents of Dabbs. Our fundraising activity is done with the goal of raising money to fund these events as well as provide extra supplies and equipment which the school budget does not cover. We hold monthly meetings and send home a quarterly newsletter in the Dragon Tales publication.
Why get involved at your child's school?
Research has shown that children of involved parents do better in school and on standardized tests, have fewer behavior problems, and are less likely to use drugs or alcohol. Volunteering provides opportunities to get to know school staff members and to learn more about how the school operates, as well as meet other parents and form friendships.
How to Get Involved
There are many opportunities during the school year to get involved through PTO activities. Specific event flyers are also sent home throughout the year. If you would like more information please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org .
