Students should be seated in the boys’ gym by 7:15 PM.

Choir Students should wear:
6th grade: Choir T-shirt and Jeans
7th & 8th grade Girls: Choir Dress, natural colored hose and black shoes
7th & 8th Grade Boys: Black Pants and Black shoes
Tuxedo shirt, cummerbund and bowtie (provided by the school)

This is a graded performance. Students who do not participate in the concert will not be able to participate in singing at the Elementary performance.

Parent Chaperones are needed to sit with choir students during this performance. Please let us know if you can volunteer.

Our Christmas Concert will be on Thursday, December 6th at 7:30 pm. Students are hard at work learning Christmas music. We will have practice CD’s available for 7th and 8th grade students for 50 cents next week. This is a great tool so that students can continue learning their Christmas music over the Thanksgiving Holidays.

Deepwater Junior High put on a choir performance last night, Thursday, October 18th. The concert was wonderful. The students behaved very well but were a little talkatvie. They sounded beautifully. It was very obvious that they practiced until it was perfect.

Although things went well, they’re always some things that need improvement. The students and audience members were talkative. But, we know the students are very sorry for their mistake. The choirs need to work on getting softer and singing a little quieter.

Parents were amazed at how well the students performed. Some parents claimed the students sounded like a CD recording. How Wonderful!

My personal favorite part of the concert was when the pupils performaed the Latin song, “Ubi Caritas”. It was beautiful and well rehearsed.

Over all, the concert was a huge success.

Our first choir concert will be on Thursday, October 18th at 7:30 pm at DWJH. Students must report at 7:15 pm. Choir uniforms are as follows: 6th grade Choir t-shirts and Jean pants (no shorts or capri’s, please) 7th & 8th grade girls Choir dresses and black shoes 7th & 8th grade guys black pants and black shoes and school issued tuxedo shirt.
