A GREAT Year!!!

June 11th, 2008 by sborrego

A Great Year has come to an end. Just wanted to update you on what has happened after the last post.

7th & 8th Grade Mixed and Treble Choirs went to contest. The Treble Choir brought home a Sweepstakes. Way to Go Girls! Both of our groups worked hard and did a great job.

The Mixed and Treble Choirs went to the DP Choral Festival and both brought home a Trophy. These will be displayed in the show case in the Cafeteria next year.

The Choir and Band went to Schlitterbahn and we had a great time.

6th grade did a wonderful job on our first Choir Musical “Willy Wonka”. You did a great job and it was so much much!

7th & 8th grade choirs finished the year with the Best Pop Show Ever!!! I say that every year and they just keep getting better and better.

Have a great Summer. I hope to learn how to post pictures over the summer. Check back to see if I’ve got anything new on the blog over the summer.

Manditory UIL Rehearsal

March 2nd, 2008 by sborrego

We will be having the first of two manditory rehearsals this Friday. All students who are participating in UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest and going to Schlitterbahn must attend.

Mixed Choir from 3:45-5:00
Treble Choir from 5:00-6:15.

The Treble choir may go home after school and return for the rehearsal or stay at school. We will have a room for them to do homework or play “American Idol” while they wait for their time.

This rehearsal is very important as we will have a guest conductor come to listen and work with our choirs and give us suggestions before the pre-UIL Concert.

Students who do not attend will not be able to participate in UIL and Schlitterbahn. Please call me if you have any concerns.
