This week we talked about all the special people in our lives.  We wrote to our mothers as part of this unit to tell her why she is the best mom ever and ways we can show our love!  We walked to the post office to mail our letters.  One of the workers at the post office talked to our group an explained what happens to the mail and how it gets delivered to our homes.  We stopped by the park for a picnic lunch on the way back to school and spent time on the park playground.  It was a fun day for everyone!

This week we talked about different kinds of dinosaurs, the places they lived and what kind of food they ate.  We also talked about people called paleontologist who uncover the fossils of dinosaurs.

We made dinosaur food as a fun way to end our dinosaur unit.  We read and followed the recipe and made the dinosaur food.  Mrs. Sexton took pictures and then we participated in a cooperative writing activity.  We had to put the pictures in the correct order.  Then we met in groups and wrote a sentence about what was happening in the picture.  Our pictures and sentences are posted in the hallway for others to read.  We hope they can solve the mystery ingredients!
