Here We Go!

April 25th, 2008 by jsanders

THE TIME IS ALMOST HERE!

We have worked soooo hard on many skills to get ready for the TAKS testing next week—thank you so much, parents, for helping your student succeed in school by supporting them at home…signing their Pawbuilder, helping with homework, etc.

We will all be wildly successful!  I’m sure of it! ;-)

Welcome back!

I’m so glad to be back with everyone!  I miss you guys during our breaks…really!

Thanks to Selena B. for sending me a postcard from her fabulous trip to Disneyworld( a Winnie-the-Pooh one;-), and to Rebecca M. for writing me letters during the break, too.

Let’s get back to work!  We can do it!

We did it!

After months of hard work and dedication, we tackled that Writing TAKS Test!  Everyone truly worked hard, and I’m sure it will pay off when you see how well you did in May—-yes, we will have to wait to find out until May…a long way off! ;-(

For now, gear up for the next math benchmark on Tuesday, and the reading benchmark on Wednesday.  I have complete faith that you will give it your all!

Parents, we will be continuing to work on skills such as summary, main idea and details, fact and opinion, sequencing, etc.  I will keep you informed as to where your child is succeeding and mastering these skills, as well as where they may need some extra practice.  Keep chekcing the blog and notes coming home! ;-)  Thanks for all that you do to support from home;-)

I truly appreciate it ;-)

Happy Monday!!

Hope everyone had a terrific weekend;-)  We’re in the final stretch before our Writing TAKS test on March 5th…Moms and Dads, ask your child about what he or she is writing about—there is some great talent in our class!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lists of the students in the classroom will be coming home on Friday with the conduct sheets.  Students may make Valentine cards for their classmates.  Our party will be on the 14th at 2:15.  All are welcome!

A reminder…

Caring about each of you does not stop when you walk out the door…

As Mr. Davis said yesterday, be very careful when walking home or riding your bike, playing around the neighborhood, etc.  Make sure friends are around–there’s safety in numbers!  You are all extremely important to me, and I look forward each day to seeing every face!

Thursday I will not be able to be with you in the classroom—;-(  It is our fourth grade teachers’ planning day.  We will be discussing all of the activities we will be doing with you in the months to come! ;-)  I’m sorry…you know I don’t like to be away from you guys, either…but I will be popping in and out of the room during the day, so we can say “hi!” ;-)
