Deer Park High School Schedule

North Campus Geography, 2007

On May 12, Deer Park ISD's Board of Trustees approved a new time schedule affecting all schools in the district. Beginning with the 2008-09 school year, the school day will begin and end according to the following schedule:

7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for Elementary Schools;
8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. for Junior High School;
8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for High Schools.

The administration recommended the change to the school time schedule to allow for additional class time for high school students before and after the regular school day. This additional time, called a flex period, is needed because of increased state and federal requirements for high school students.
